Meter Parking to Use e-Money in November

Jakarta Transportation Department will change the payment system of meter parking on Jalan Agus Salim (Sabang), Central Jakarta, in upcoming November. Later, the use of coins will be replaced with electronic money.

Those six banks are BCA flazz, BNI tapcash, BRI brizzi, Mandiri Bank e-money, Mega Bank megacard, and DKI Bank jakcard

Head of Jakarta Parking Management Unit (UP), Sunardi Sinaga, uttered that to realize the use of electronic money in meter parking, his party cooperates with six banks. These banks are also banks that are cooperated in the use of TransJakarta bus electronic ticket.

“Those six banks are BCA flazz, BNI tapcash, BRI brizzi, Mandiri Bank e-money, Mega Bank megacard, and DKI Bank jakcard,” he stated, Tuesday (10/28).

Parking Meter Machines Installed in 300 Locations Next Year

According to Sinaga, the electronic money used it meter parking payment can also be used to pay TransJakarta bus tariff. For the beginning, some shops selling e-money cards will be built on Jalan Sabang. These shops will facilitate car owners who have not had e-money.

“There will be many shops selling e-money cards provided on Jalan Sabang to facilitate the citizens,” he said.
